I created Pathport in 2017 with a vision: '“Le Beau Voyage” (Beautiful Travel). My idea was simple – to collaborate with inspiring creatives, photographers and artists from around the world to put together carefully curated, intimate and visual travel guides. If you’ve been following us on Instagram, and if you’ve ever purchased one of our guides, you know about our our aesthetics. I’m not going to lie, we love beautifully designed places owned by passionate, local people.

But “Le Beau Voyage” has always been about so much more than just design. It’s an art. A mindset. A way of moving into this world with your eyes and heart wide open, mindful of every little detail, and of the bigger picture – how does my presence impact the life of the local communities? What is the imprint that I’m leaving behind me? What have I learnt about this destination?

Every year, I personally update all of our guides, and I cannot get enough of them. Going through the pages is like being a part of someone else’s story. The narrator walks us to his/her favorite places, sharing their feelings, tips and anecdotes. Pathport, Path-port: we are a library of shared paths around the world.

If you’re looking for a more traditional travel guide broken down into sections (where to stay, where to eat, where to play…), this is not what we do. Each of our guide is different, so read the description carefully to make sure you manage your expectations. From a road trip to discover the most beautiful villages of Portugal to exploring London from east to west using the Central tube line, we give carte blanche to our curators as to the way they wish to show you around.
