“I was born in Marseille and grew up visiting my grandmother in La Ciotat, a city where my maternal family has been living for six generations now. The post-swim salty skin, the blinding light of the sun, and the lound sound of cicadas – these are some of the memories of my childhood spent in La Ciotat with my adored Odette. The taste of the raspberry Vacherin in the shade of her ivy-covered blind with Schubert tunes on the piano, is an image that is forever engraved in my mind. I chose to move back here so that my children would grow up in my grandmother’s house, with a bit of her presence. La Ciotat is more than a city, it’s a way of life. Professional photographers, cinema directors and watercolorists from around the world are inspired by its light, its truth, and its authenticity. “The best way to travel is to let your curiosity be your guide, and that’s exactly what I did when I moved to Japan. With its amazing transportation system that can take you across and around the country in no time, covering Japan’s famous places isn’t a difficult task.
