The Other D.C.

“There is so much focus on Washington, D.C. as the nation’s capital that you just can’t escape it. However, the spotlight being so much on politics and the government, people who don’t live in the city tend to forget that there is a lot more to Washington than the White House, the Capitol and the monuments. I look at D.C. from a different perspective. I see the unexpected D.C. or what I like to call ‘the other D.C.’ — the colorful and quaint streets, the charming and European façades, the eclectic side with character that tends to go unnoticed. The warmth of the city, its true spirit, lies somewhere else — away from what the tour guides tell you to do. The nation’s capital begs to be photographed more and discovered outside of the traditional tourist spots. Welcome to "The Other D.C.".

Format: Digital travel guide (17 places, 57 pages). You’ll receive a link to download the PDF file, optimized for mobile.

What to expect: rather than an exhaustive directory, this guide offers select points of interest and venues that have been carefully curated by David, influencer based in D.C. It includes:

- a complete list of his favorite addresses around the city beyond the National Mall and monument like restaurants, coffeeshop, hidden gems and cool neighborhoods;

- useful copy explaining why you should go to each spot, what’s a must-have and when is the best time to go;

- beautiful photography to give you a first glance of the places;

- an online map with all the spots so you can easily visualize them and get directions to get there.

Pathport travel guides were created for the travelers with an aesthetic sensibility, looking for the most beautiful addresses wherever they go.
