Discover Austria’s mountains
Curated and photographed by Johanna Hausler
“This guide leads you through the mountains of Austria. You’ll explore long, windy roads, with photography hotspots in every corner. The Alpine region of Dachstein Salzkammergut (UNESCO world heritage) really is impressive. And someone just built a tiny charming village amongst those giants of mountains — the world famous Hallstatt. For this tour you’ll need a week approximately, but the more, the better! It depends on how many outdoor sport days you’ll include in your trip. You don’t need to follow the chronological order, feel free to start where it fits the most for you or to skip a part if something isn’t on your bucket list. All the places I’m showing you are photogenic wonders and you’ll fall in love with the Austrian mountains if you haven’t already.”
Format: Digital travel guide (15 places, 47 pages). You’ll receive a link to download the PDF file, optimized for mobile.
What to expect: rather than an exhaustive directory, this guide offers select points of interest and venues that have been carefully curated by Johanna, passionate by photography, based in Austria. It includes:
- a complete list of her favorite spot around Austria’s mountains that include hikes, beautiful landscapes, small villages, for a perfect family/couple vacation;
- useful copy explaining why you should go to each spot, what’s a must-have and when is the best time to go;
- beautiful photography to give you a first glance of the places;
- an online map with all the spots so you can easily visualize them and get directions to get there.
Pathport travel guides were created for the travelers with an aesthetic sensibility, looking for the most beautiful addresses wherever they go.
