Spring is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to get away. Many destinations are at their best during this season, when temperatures are warm but not too hot, lively festivals are going on, and blooming flowers set parks and gardens with colors. Our top 10 Pathport-approved destinations are wonderful throughout the year, but they’re especially glowing and more vibrant during spring…

NEW YORK

As a traveler, the best way to discover the city and feel its pulse is to walk, sometimes for hours, from one neighborhood to the other… let’s be honest, you don’t want to do that in February, or in August when it’s hot as hell. Springtime in New York is also your chance to admire the beautiful cherry blossoms at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, have a picnic in Central Park, attend a live music festival and — like a true New Yorker — enjoy a long, lazy brunch on a terrace.

MALAGA

With sunny days mostly all year long, Malaga is an exceptional destination anytime. But there’s something about spring that’s extra special… the balmy temperatures, the blooming flowers in the streets or on the balconies, the longer days that are just perfect for tapas on a terrace and leisurely strolls along the beach… Need we say more?

LONDON

The best time to visit London is March through May when the temperatures are mild and the city's parks are green and blooming, as well as the beautiful flowers around the typical London houses. Explore London's best gardens and parks, wander in the city’s pretty streets and outdoor markets…

PARIS

From a picnic along the Seine, to enjoying a glass of wine on one of the many Parisian terraces, or discovering the hidden alleys and gardens… Paris is always a good idea but springtime in the capital of romance and “apero” is probably the best experience you can get.

PALM SPRINGS

Palm Springs is a desert oasis unlike any other. Set in the Coachella Valley at the foot of several mountain ranges, this iconic and colorful city with a vibrant food and drinks scene is also home to one of the largest collections of Mid-century Modern architecture in the world.

AMSTERDAM

If there’s one season of the year that really brings out the best in Amsterdam and its surrounding countryside, that must be spring. As the city awakens from its wintry spell, trees along the canals burst with greenery, tulips come into colorful bloom and Amsterdam’s parks and terraces fill with people seeking out those first rays of sunshine.

EDINBURGH

Edinburgh on a sunny day is one of the best places to be, with its historical buildings bathed in sunshine and plenty of green spaces to have a picnic or a barbecue. Longer, lighter days mean that there’s more time to hop on a bike and take advantage of the range of cycle paths in and around Edinburgh.

COPENHAGEN

Copenhagen is famous for its excellent taste in everything from architecture, furniture design, décor, fashion, and of course food. But during spring, the streets of Copenhagen are filled with newfound energy. It’s the high season for flea markets, street parties and garden picnics… It’s also the nicest time to explore the city by bike and feel like a local.

WASHINGTON D.C.

Washington, DC hosts the nation’s greatest springtime celebration: the National Cherry Blossom Festival in honor of the blooming of the city’s beautiful cherry blossom trees. The city offers much more than the White House, the Capitol and the monuments… the colorful and quaint streets, the charming and European façades, the eclectic side with character that tends to go unnoticed. If you’re vacationing in Washington, DC in the spring you’re in for an amazing time.

TEL AVIV

With warm weather year-round, you can visit Tel Aviv anytime, but the ‘White City’ is really booming in the spring. From its shoreline, to the art scene, the busy green boulevards, the incredible food and architectural gems, not to mention the pleasant temperatures and fewer tourists — Tel Aviv has much to offer.
