Taking the kids

Summer holidays are just around the corner which means lots of time to keep the kids occupied and happy. Traveling with your kids is not always easy, but it’s also exciting to show them the world. Some of our pathfinders are moms travelling with one or even four kids, in their guides they share their best tips for the perfect, easy family holiday.

“For me travel is about seeing things you may only have imagined, and now that I’m a parent it’s also about opening my children’s eyes to cultures different than their own, trying to help them understand how varied and beautiful life is.”

Bea Gaspar is a mother of two working as a creative in Madrid. Summer holiday with her family consists in exploring the beautiful, hidden beaches of the Alentejo region in Portugal. She takes you to the best beaches, but also cute shops and bars to enjoy a cocktail after a day outside. If you’re looking for a laid-back experience in a beautiful setting, this guide was made for you.

Benedicte has 3 kids, two of them are young teenagers. Her guide gives you the itinerary of their 2 weeks road trip to Portugal, combining visits to the cities of Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra with a few stops along the coastline for a bit of beach life and an inland drive to the Alentejo region among whitewashed villages, cork oaks, vineyards & olive trees not forgetting cultural treasures such as Evora & Marvao. If you’d rather hit the road than spend your day at the beach, it’s another cool way of visiting Portugal with your family.

Corinne loves to travel with her three year old son, Atlas. She recently went to Cuba with him and a friend, her guide tells the story of their 7 days of exploring this magical place, from Old Havana to the less known countryside.
