Travel guide N.53

Written and photographed by Sarah Arnould

From Rome to Milan via Florence and Portovenere to the Cinque Terre, the road isn’t easy. Taking the train  is a good solution to move: don’t worry about the traffic and let yourself be carried away from one city to the next. We took a plane from Bordeaux to Rome and stayed ten days at the end of September, beginning of October. We spent three nights in Rome, two nights in Florence, three nights in the Cinque Terre and two nights in Milan. It takes just 1h30 to go from Rome to Florence with the train, 2h from Florence to La Spezia (Cinque Terre), and 3h from La Spezia to Milan. It was a fast-paced trip but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Format: Digital travel guide (16 places, 49 pages). You’ll receive a link to download the PDF file, optimized for mobile.

What to expect: rather than an exhaustive directory, this guide offers select points of interest and venues that have been carefully curated by Sarah, freelance photographer based in Bordeaux, France. It includes:

- a complete list of the best stops and cities you can make during a train trip from Rome to Milan;

- useful copy explaining why you should go to each spot, what’s a must-have and when is the best time to go;

- beautiful photography to give you a first glance of the places;

- an online map with all the spots so you can easily visualize them and get directions to get there.
